IIS - How to use appcmd list backups

The syntax for this command: appcmd list backups ["BackupName"] [/xml]

Open a command prompt using Run as Administrator.

List all backups:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe list backups
 
BACKUP "Backup1"
BACKUP "20180204T101820"
BACKUP "20180204T104714"
BACKUP "20180204T104716"

List a single backup:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe list backup "Backup1"
 
BACKUP "Backup1"

List all backups in XML format:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe list backups /xml
 
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<appcmd>
    <BACKUP BACKUP.NAME="Backup1" path="C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\backup\Backup1" />
    <BACKUP BACKUP.NAME="20180204T101820" path="C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\backup\20180204T101820" />
    <BACKUP BACKUP.NAME="20180204T104714" path="C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\backup\20180204T104714" />
    <BACKUP BACKUP.NAME="20180204T104716" path="C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\backup\20180204T104716" />
</appcmd>

List a single backup in XML format:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe list backup "Backup1" /xml
 
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<appcmd>
    <BACKUP BACKUP.NAME="Backup1" path="C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\backup\Backup1" />
</appcmd>

The backed up configuration files are placed in: C:\Windows\Sysem32\inetsrv\backup
